The Twin Lights Cup is a charity striped bass tournament.
To be eligible for any award, clear photo documentation of the measurements of the curved fork length and girth of the fish, along with a photo of the angler with the fish must be provided to the scoring committee upon return to the dock.
1. All participants must comply with all Coast Guard laws and rules, local laws and New York State DEC and New Jersey DEP fishing regulations.
2. IGFA rules apply unless otherwise stated. It is the responsibility of each team and crewmember to know, understand and abide by the IGFA and Twinlights Cup Tournament rules. For a complete list of the IGFA rules go to www.igfa.org
3. Lines in 0700 lines out at 1:00 PM score sheets handed in to the tournament committee no later than 1:30 PM.
4. All grievances concerning the rules shall be in writing and must be submitted to the tournament committee no later than 1:30 PM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
5. For fish to qualify for any prize category you must photograph the angler with the landed fish, and the measurement of the curved fork length and girth of the fish. Photo documentation is required for all fish you tag and release for the Gray Taxidermy Most Fish Tagged award.
6. Use of non-offset circle hooks is required when using live or dead bait.
7. All boats are limited to no more than eight lines in the water at any time. No matter what legal method is being used.
8. "Hook and hand” is prohibited. Anglers must hook and bring their fish to the boat unassisted.
9. Captains may use a rod and reel to demonstrate casting or retrieving techniques. If any fish is caught by the captain, it shall be immediately released and may not be included in team scoring. All captain’s awards are for guiding their anglers to fish.
10. Captains are responsible for presenting the Scoring Tally Sheets for their boat by 1:30. The Weigh Master will only accept the official Scoring Tally Sheets. NO TALLY SHEET, NO ENTRY, NO EXCEPTIONS!
11. All fish must be recorded on the tally sheet at the time and site of catch and release. Do not fill out tally sheets back at the dock
12. Illegible or incomplete score sheets will be excluded from the official results. Please be certain to complete all information on every scoring sheet. If we don’t know who caught the fish or how big it was, it won’t count.
13. The largest overall fish will be the Twin Lights Cup winner.
14. Trophies will be awarded to the angler and captain for the winner of the Twin Lights Cup.
15. Trophy will be awarded to the veteran that catches the largest striped bass.

17. VHF channel 68 will be the official tournament channel.
18. The decisions of the tournament committee will be final.
19. Any legal striped bass may be harvested at the discretion of the captain.
All participants, captains and crews in the Twin Lights Cup Charity Striped Bass Tournament enter at their own risk. Committee members and all other persons connected directly or indirectly with the operation of the tournaments shall be exempt from any liability for loss, damage, negligence, harm or injury to any participant, boat captain, crew member, vessel and/or equipment, which may occur during the tournament.
